Set in the 90s between 1992 and 1996 to be precise Appatlo Okadundevadu sees
Nara Rohith and Sri Vishnu lock horns in a gritty world of crime. But there is no hero or villain, and thats what makes this film unique, reckons Rohith. Our film doesnt have a protagonist or an antagonist; it is all about perspective. Elaborating on that thought, Sri Vishnu explains, So I play Railway Raju, a cricketer who turns to crime due to circumstances.
his actions are justified from his perspective, but not from that of the cops played by Rohith. Dark and intense, the film will be an action-packed entertainer, promises Rohith, who besides playing an encounter specialist, is also turning producer with this film. I have done cop roles in Asura and Rowdy Fellow, but here I play a Muslim cop, a devout one at that. He believes in haraam and halaal, does his namaaz. And I think this detail added an extra dimension to my character, he says, adding, Although the setting is the 90s, the film focuses on timeless subjects like naxalism, cricket, globalisation, love, betrayal and hatred.
